Chef Ron has enjoyed 25 years of customizing and catering to high end guests and to exclusive members with superior palettes. He started from the bottom up as a busser in high school to waiting tables and finally to cooking and baking, experiencing the ins and outs of the restaurant world. Now, he wishes to share with his community his passion for building flavors and that each and every dish inspires aloha, ‘ohana, and ola.
We enjoyed meeting and serving folks at the Aloha Tower, Blaisdell Center, and Kapiolani Community College farmer’s markets in 2017. We also appreciated the opportunities and our time at Cafe Waiola on the campus of the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine, and in Kalihi across from the Hawaiian Chip Company. From our family to yours, we look forward to bringing our wholesome food to your home, heart, body, and soul.

“One of the biggest social events of the year for our faculty and staff is when we all get together at year’s end to celebrate Christmas and the beginning of our winter break. In planning our last event, our goal was to have an afternoon with truly good food for a reasonable price, and to make our special party something that everyone would remember. From my initial contact with Chef Ron and throughout our planning and the execution on the day of the event, everything was well organized, timely, and exactly as promised. Dealing with Chef Ron and his wife, Rose, made life so much easier for me as they anticipated things they would need, followed up with me without my needing to chase them down, and they were always cordial, warm and seemed to care about our party as much as we did. They came through with flying colors regarding the food, but it was also the presentation, ensuring that platters were full for our guests, and the professionalism in the way that things were executed. Chef Ron is now at the top of my list for caterers to call. It has been a month since our party happened and people are still raving about the food and fun we had. Without hesitation, I recommend Chef Ron to anyone looking for quality food and service at a very reasonable price.”
“Chef Ron's ribs are the best! The smokey flavor, color and softness of the meat is amazing. I'm usually a guy who likes a lot of sauce on his ribs. With Chef Ron's style of flavoring, you best try them with sauce on the side so you can be sure to taste the amazing flavor of the meat itself. Excellent.”
“Chef Ron has catered many events for me from 15–150. His food, organization, and professionalism are always amazing. And, on top of that he leaves the venue clean!”
“A fine delicacy flying under the radar that should not go overlooked. I experienced Ronald Simon's culinary art while attending a friends wedding and the food was indescribable that tipped off all your senses of taste, smell and appearance. I used Ronald for an intimate birthday party and I was very pleased. He worked with my budget and even threw in menu suggestions I would have overlooked. I have an extremely picky palate to say the least and I insist all ingredients be organic. We had an amazing appetizer of Fillet steak with watercress cream sauce that was to die for. He made this pasta salad mixed with fresh mozzarella spinach and other vegetables. The dressing he made for the salad was unbelievable.....it was light and tasty. The salad was perfectly dressed that you could savor each ingredient. My most favorite that Ronald makes is macaroons. I felt as if i was back visiting in Italy. They were amazing and authentic. I love that every item on the menu is made fresh and from scratch. I am not one to share but Ronald's culinary art is a hidden gem in Hawaii. Thank you Ronald Simon.”
“Had a great experience with Rose and Ron. Went above and beyond to make this party exactly what I wanted. Had so many guests comment on how great the food was. It was unique, fresh, and presented well. Can’t wait to have our next event and see what amazing things they’ll do again.”
